Skylarks Chalet offers a peaceful getaway in the heart of South Devon, just 8 miles from Dartmouth. Nestled within Sea View Campsite, this well-equipped chalet provides stunning countryside and sea views, perfect for couples, families, or small groups looking for a relaxing self-catering holiday.

Skylarks is our fully equipped 30ft x 13ft, centrally heated and double glazed, mobile home standing in its own private, fenced garden, with a picnic table and comfortable garden chairs. From the comfortable lounge/dining area, enjoy breathtaking uninterrupted views across stunning Devon countryside to the sea. If you get tired of the view, or star gazing with our beautifully dark skies, there is a Free Sat TV and a selection of books and games.
The kitchen includes a fridge-freezer, microwave, gas hob and an electric oven.
Sleeping up to 4 persons, there are two bedrooms; one has a double bed and the other twin caravan beds (1.75m long). They will be made ready for your arrival. If you wish to bring a travel cot then we are happy to remove one, or both of the single beds in the second bedroom to make room for it. Unfortunately, the double room is not big enough to accommodate a travel cot. For flexibility, a single person could sleep on the sofa in the lounge area as long as the total number of persons doesn’t exceed 4.
The shower room has a sink and there is a separate toilet. A bath and hand towel is provided for each person.
Ample parking and an enclosed garden make it ideal for families, though we regret no pets are allowed.
Guests are invited to wander through our meadows, blackberry picking, butterfly counting and wild flower spotting or, for younger ones, watch the chickens and complete our, new for 2025, nature trail – leaflets provided. The walk through our grassy Devon camping fields, down towards Slapton Village and Slapton Sands beach, follows ancient hedgerows rich with wild flowers. The Queens Arms in Slapton offers good food in a beautiful, sunny walled garden setting. Slapton’s Tower Inn is a real step back in time and has a very special atmosphere.
Short breaks available for a minimum of 4 nights (excluding Spring Bank Holiday and July/August). Bed linen, towels, and heating/electricity are included. Laundry service washes are available at an extra cost from reception.
