Quiet SOUTH devon camping
Sea View Campsite is a peaceful, small farm campsite with grass underfoot and stars overhead. It is surrounded by the breath-taking South Devon countryside, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with views across rolling fields to the sea.
Whether you want a Devon beach holiday, are walking the South West Coast Path and just want to pitch up for the night, or you want to relax on a quiet South Devon camping or caravanning holiday, Sea View Campsite is a beautiful place to do just that. Run by our family for over 30 years the campsite makes a perfect holiday base and we have a quiet time between 11p.m. and 7a.m. to ensure that everyone can get a good nightโs sleep.

Your Ultimate Devon Camping & Beach Holiday
You will never be short of a new beach to visit on your Devon Camping beach holiday. Sea View Campsite is close to a variety of secluded and family-friendly beaches including the blue flag award-winning Blackpool sands, where you can hire wetsuits and watersports equipment, get a tasty meal or even have a sauna! There are sandy beaches at Bantham, Thurlestone, Hope Cove, Salcombe and Lannacombe, shingle beaches at Hallsands and Beesands, and our nearest is a 3 mile long dog-friendly beach at Slapton Sands. There are plenty more quiet coves, where you might be the only occupant, accessible from the South West Coast path.
The historic Naval town of Dartmouth (7 miles), the market town of Kingsbridge (7 miles) and the sailing haven of Salcombe (12 miles) are a short drive away.
Stargazing & Campfires โ A Peaceful Devon Camping Experience
After pitching your tent or parking your van you can sit and listen to the song of the skylarks, watch the ships sail past, have a barbecue with friends, enjoy the warm summer evenings and count the shooting stars. 11 acres of grassy meadow adjacent to the camping site is yours to wander in, play ball games, picnic or exercise your dog. A path leads through these meadows towards Slapton village where you will find The Queenโs Arms and Tower Inn pubs serving tasty meals and a friendly community shop where you can pick up essential camping supplies including delicious pasties and fresh bread. Continue on to Slapton Sands beach or circle through the Slapton Ley nature reserve before heading back to toast marshmallows around the communal campfire.
NEW FOR 2025 is a children’s nature trail featuring illustrations of our Devon campsite wildlife by a local artist.

Dog-Friendly Campsites in South Devon โ Stay at Sea View
Dogs are welcome and have their own large exercise fields. They must be kept on a lead whilst on the rest of the campsite. For the more active doggies there are lovely circular walks leading out from the campsite to the beach, the nature reserve and through beautiful South Devon countryside. The majority of local pubs and beaches are dog-friendly, and there are miles of South Devon coast paths to explore!
Pitches are large and level with acres of space for children to play in front of your tent. Rounders, football and frisbee games are a common sight in the centre of the large family camping field. Kite flying is also enjoyed by all ages. Our new nature trail and guide to the animals and plants commonly found at Sea View Campsite will give young nature-lovers a challenge. They can record their own sightings on the campsite nature- spotters chalk board.
The showers, toilets and washing up area are checked and cleaned frequently. The local information boards and leaflets are kept up to date and there are staff on site 24 hours a day to assist you.

Electric Hookup Camping in South Devon โ Book a Pitch
Grass electric hookup pitches and additional non-electric grass pitches are available for tents, caravans and camper vans.
Larger motorhomes are unsuitable for some of the narrow lanes surrounding the site so it is recommended that, if you are travelling in a vehicle longer that 6m, you bring an alternative smaller form of transport to more easily explore this beautiful, but very rural, area.
Early booking is recommended for the electric caravan and camping pitches due to high demand.
